While breast tenderness seems to be the norm especially a week before my period is supposed to get here (didn't last month), is there any relation to irritation in the armpit. Every now and again, my left underarm gets itchy and throbs. I don't feel any lumps and am waiting until after my cycle to contact my doctor if it doesn't go away. I can lift my arm over my head perfectly fine and it only hurts when I think about it (DUH!)
If anyone can share anything, I would appreciate it.

I have been getting soreness under my arms and continuing a little way down my arms and my doctor said it might be a reaction to my deoderant. But its only on and off so I think its hormonal.

Hi,
I'm experiencing mild left breast tenderness for the past year or so. It does come and go. I'm using Evening Primrose Oil, 1300mg for now. I hear it takes 8 weeks to take affect and it has been 8 weeks so far and still it's ok. Is this the start of perimenopause even at 40??
I appreciate the feedback from everyone. It's nice to know I'm not on my own.

Hey EJ! I've had the same problem for 14 years or so. I went to the doc back then and he told me that my fibrocystic disease spread into my arm pits and thats what was causing my arm pit pain. If i drink alot of caffeine before that time, cause now i seem to know when it should be again, i'll get the pains in my breast and arm pit. I'd check with the doc on the next visit.
Thanks tbonewitz
The pain seems to have disappeared for now. I stopped using my deodorant although I don't know if there was a direct correlation.
I saw my DOC and she said it wasn't anything to worry about. Funny thing...as soon as she said that, the pain went away.
Hope you are well!
EJ
