I haven't heard of anyone else getting queasy or slightly nauseous before a hot flash. Has this happened to you?

Yes, it happens every single time with me (and I'm having them about once an hour or so). Sometimes I forget and wonder why I'm nauseated, and about 10 seconds later...no doubt.

Hello ladies,
Yes, that happens to me sometimes...like you Beverly, about 10 seconds go by with the nausea and then.....hot flash. With me, it's not consistant - sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't - go figure. I think it happens with the fluctuating hormones. Sometimes I just feel nausea without the hot flash. Thank you ladies for sharing with your thoughts.
Blessings,
Stacy

Count me in the "nausea group".
Everytime I get a hot flash I have a wave of nausea. It usually precedes the hot flash.
I don't necessarily feel like I'm in a stupor, but I feel like my body gets tired. If I'm sitting in a chair, it feels like there's one of those lead shields that they put on you at the dentist office draped on top of me and it would be hard to get up.

One of the best remedies for nausea is simply to boil a cup of water, add a few teaspoons of lemon to it and sip it slowly. During perimenopause, I experienced a period of constant nausea and the hot water and lemon helped every time.
Some also recommend using ginger, but I've found ginger upsetting to the stomach at times.
