Does anyone have almost like withdrawal symptoms after about six-eight hours of using progesterone? I can only take a bit at a time because of the paradoxical reactor thing but after about six hours I start feeling shaky and may actually shake. I am this way in the AM too and am wondering if all nite is too long for me also. I know some seem to "use up" the hormones faster!

Progesterone makes me depressed.
Your reaction doesn't surprise me,
because I feel most shaky premenstrually,
and this is when progesterone levels
rise.

Actually, I have always read that after the peak a week after midcycle, the progesterone and estrogen levels drop, which is what causes your period. So the 5-7 days before you get a period your progesterone and estrogen levels are decreasing.
that's what makes this all so nuts - the cycles get out of whack, your body gets out of whack, etc. It's a shame we cannot have a hormone-meter to see everyday what the heck is going on to adjust these hormones correctly!

I just want them, both to decline,
because I heard postmenopause is
better. I'm confused!!!!

I have been waiting for that since I was in my 20s and started having problems. No one told me it would be such misery these last years though!

I hear you Patsy, I've thought peri.
meant a few flashes, which would
end the PMS. Little did I know peri
can mean feeling chronically premenstual.
Hope this passes, quickly, for both of us.
