Has anyone tried the Hyland's Homeopathic formulas for menopause or anxiety? They have Calms Forte and a Nerve tonic.

Pat, I haven't tried these but thanks for mentionning them. I think homeopathic medicines for peri/menopause symptoms are interesting because they would likely be low toxicity.
I haven't seen too many posts on homeopathy on these forums. I did start a topic on Homeopathy, including a definition on the Alternative Medicine forum. I noticed another topic there too, but it was clearly *not* talking about homeopathic medicine, so that's why I included the definition.
I have tried homeopathic medicines from time to time and find them rather intriguing. Now that I am feeling better I may give the treatments you mentionned a try. I get stuck when I am sick, not wanting to get any sicker, so if I have tried something out in advance I will be prepared if I get sicker again.

I posted the name of a product website and the board administrator deleted it, why? The Revivial products are mentioned. I thought the purpose was to pass along information and help others?

Commercial products are mentioned all the time, including Revival.
The commercial websites which are selling these products are what are removed, including those for Revival. Links to Revival that you may see on the site go to another page on Power Surge - Dearest's experiences with Revival. Those that go to the Revival website are removed too.
Dearest doesn't want this site to become free advertisement for any products, Revival or any other. She puts a lot of time and her own money (many thousands of dollars a year) into running this site, and doesn't want people taking advantage of that by using this as a free source of advertising.
I'm sure that you wouldn't want people putting up advertising signs on your front lawn, either.
I hope that's a little clearer to you.

Thank you MaryO for clarifying this. Everything is so political these days it does make one crazy.

Pat01,
It's not a political issue, as far as posting websites etc, for information. We all want information, as much as we can get. Power Surge was founded by Dearest for that very reason--to empower women to find the information they need to meet their individual needs. There is no "cure all" for every woman. It's an individual thing, and it takes trial and error, and much research for each of us to find what works for us. No one has all the answers, and we shouldn't rely on anyone else to decide what's in our best interest. That responsibility is up to us, as women.
Dearest, here on Power Surge, has provided much information, many different options and opportunities for us to explore what is available out there for those of us who are experiencing uncomfortable symptoms during this time of transition. She has spent years making sure that the recommendations and all other "helps" that are listed on this site are truly in our best interest, and entirely up to date.
Dearest has many well known experts in numerous fields relating to women's issues that we can email at any time to ask questions. All you have to do is go to:
http://www.power-surge.com/recommend.htm
or, you can find your specific need and ask a question by going to:
http://www.power-surge.com/asktheexperts.htm
I hope you continue to explore the entire site of Power Surge, and I encourage you to join us for our Thursday, 9PM (ET) Guest Chats.

I have tried the Calms forte, but did not get much benefit from it. I am currently trying another 'natural' product I just bought yesterday. It is Bach's Rescue Remedy, made from flower essences. Not much help from his either. I have recently heard that Dr Lark reccommends L-Theanine for anxiety and stress. It is an amino acid. But have not been able to get a lot of info about it, as to doses, etc. Anyone else familiar with this?

I've tried both Hylands formulas and have had good results. I'm always very tenative with any remedy and tend start slowly at a very low dose to see how my body (and mind) respond. Homeopathic medicines (and flower essences) work on an energetic level and it can take time for the body to adjust to the change. Also the difference can be very subtle with change in symptoms, etc. I used the Calms forte when insomnia was roaring, then after a while found the passionflower in it to be too strong. The Nerve Tonic has been a godsend and I find it has helped strengthen my inner core energy, helps with sleep, anxiety, and recovering from crying jags, especially when I am worn out or run down with this peri thing.
These are my experiences over the past 2+ years with these remedies. Hope this helps.
Take care,
nj

Calms Forte, I tried. No Cigar. I don't
quite understand the logic behind
homeopathic medicine, but I'm a whatever
works for you kind of gal.

Plus, things are so topsy turvy in Peri,
how does one tell whether something
has just run it's ugly course, or not.
JUST QUESTIONING, AS USUAL~~~

Shoot, maybe I'll give that amino acid a
shot next. Rescue Remedy, no cigar!!
I tried tyrosine. It may have made me a
bit hyper. I swear meds, natural, or
otherwise have not worked, as well in
peri.

I don't have much experience with Calms Forte, but SWEAR by Hyland's Teething Tablets. My daughter is now 18 and I have recommended this product all these years. Takes the edge right off of teething. Homeopathy is an interesting subject, one I've dabbled in for many years. It is an intensive study and my experience is based on lots of reading and experimenting. Some have worked, some remedies haven't. Hyland's is available in almost every store in our area, and health food stores have other remedies. It can't hurt you, but get a good book on the subject and experiment. My son, age 22, wants to become a Homeopathic Dr. Guess all my experimenting did not go to waste!

Thanks for the info, JoyLuna. My little granddaughter is cutting molars and having a hard time of it, so I'll tell my daughter about this product.
Appreciate it!
