Hi all - I woke up this morning very comfy, laying down, and suddenly I felt heat creep all over me, I was kind of tingly, heart pounding and sweating like crazy.  Don't know   how long it lasted (seemed like forever, cos I was scared I was having a heart attack), then I got kind of chilly.  That IS a hot flash, isn't it? I have been feeling terrible all morning - worrying about that, having anxiety worse than in a long time.  Does this sound like hormones to you? Linda F

Hi Linda ,Well, since I've had both hot flashes and a heart attack I guess I qualify to tell you the difference.Hot flash is exactly as you described your symptoms. So yes that was it. Hope you don't have too many .

While a heart attack can have sweating , there is no hot feeling to it . It is more a cold clammy feeling . And then chills. Matter of fact , I would get so cold that I had to pile the blankets on even in the summer. So last year at this time , I was having hot flashes and the sweat related to a heart attack,and of course sweating just from the heat.  It was lovely , lol. Now I just have a hot flash now and then. :)Hope this helps, hugs , jeanne

Linda, Hi!!I had the same thing this morning....when I was out shopping!! Aaaargh!!Haven't had one in months....but....this morining unexpectely....outta the blue...I got a rush of heat, up over my chest, then face....felt tingly all over....then shaky followed, by the chills!!It was a mild one for me.....but a~~~~~HOT FLASH~~~~none the less:o:o

Linda....Yes sounds like my Hot Flashes - have also been arriving early mornings....usually end up tossing the blankets away...but they only last for a short time....I put them down to the hormone changes going on in our bods at present....also the past week noticed them more when I was out shopping....trying to fan myself cool....and not look too obvious......as for feeling cold...on some occasions I have been so cold - actually shivering - where my teeth would chatter....and I would shake with cold - as if it was freezing this has happened to me a few times...hubby would just look at me as if I was weird.....its making me cold just thinking of this....Take Care Linda - because as you see we care:)
