My Dr. put me on Evista when I had trouble with traditional HRT. Since then I have started to have hot flashes, but I am much less bloated feeling, and my skin is really great!  Who else is using Evista?  What have you experienced?

Kathryn...Hi!!I've been taking Evista for 5-6 months now....as I can't take HRT.I had some flushing/flashes off and on during the first couple of months.......but I don't know if this was due to the Evista....or a normal meno occurance?!?!Anyhow....it's getting much better now!!  In fact....I haven't had a flash in almost 2 months....just the occasional flush, (night sweats).Now that you mention it........my skin has improved as well.....don't know if it's from the med.....but that's OK with me! ;)As for bloating.....almost gone....except for the phantom period time!!  However, that too......is much improved!!  WooHoo!!(((Hugs to Ya)))Nancy

Could I ask..What is evista? Will all doctors prescribe it?

Evista is a relatively new drug which is a substitute for traditional hormone replacement therapy. Look up its website (just search for Evista). Its a Lily product.
