Lately I get a burning feeling on my ears. Is this part of the hot flash?

Miracasi,Oh, I'm glad to see your post. I've never experienced a hot flash like I've heard described on some of the P-S posts but the last few weeks I've had the ears burning like you describe. I've been wondering if it's hot flashes. It always happens when I'm feeling suddenly anxious or panicky - which seems to happen these days for any reason. Does anyone know if the ears burning are hot flashes?heyvern

Hi,
I used to get horrendous hot flashes and also suffered from anxiety/panic, but not once did my ears burn. My 20 yr. old daughter (on the other hand) gets the red burning ears whenever her anxiety is bad......her pulse also increases. My guess is that it is an anxiety symptom. Just my 2 cents.

Sometimes you have to tear yourself away from these boards (hard as it may be to do at times) and go into the enormous site that provides information about all these issues. For example, here's just one article on

I thought I was the only one with burning ears! They get real hot all of a sudden, bright red and burn! i just posted on itching board because I also have a terrible problem with itching and hives. It's just getting worse instead of better. Never know when it's going to hit. At least I know I'm not crazy and imagining all this. I do believe it's anxiety related also.

My ears start to burn before I get a flash...it IS part of a flash getting started !! That's what happened the very first time I got one.
