Hi, I am sitting here at my computor thinking who really cares about my fatigue.I have a friend who is 64 years old an she is so full of energy and she often loses patience with me when we are together because I tire so easily. I am only 51 yrs old but I suffer from osteoporois I have degenerative arthritis of the spine I try to walk a little each day. My friend will call for me to go out somewhere (which usually requires alot of walking) an I do it to please her not thinking about how bad I feel I just don't want her to feel like I am pampering myself. I AM SO TIREDand I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired!! I have tried vitamins, protein drinks, noni juice, and I still feellike a wet rag!! If anyone is having a similar experienceplease post. ThanksGemani Not Quite Rising

Hi Gemani... I think you will find plenty of people here who care and will support you! :) I am sorry you are feeling this way, and I hope your friend will try to be more patient with you. Have you ever had your thyroid checked? I have had an underactive thyroid since I was about 22 (am now 53), so have lots of experience with the extreme fatigue with it.... in fact, the fatigue is a classic symptom. And, I wouldn't even describe it as fatigue, it's more like I died and forgot to leave! You said you have tried alot of things, but didn't mention having a physical and blood work done to rule out some possibilities other than the arthritis and osteoporosis. Maybe that might be helpful for you, if you haven't already done that. Good luck to you... I hope you are feeling better tomorrow. :)

Well, I've just experienced the second occurrence of extreme fatigue. The first was last month for just a couple of days - this month it kept me almost inactive for a week! I 've been on PremPhase for 3 months now and I've charted my symptoms during this time. Both this month and last month the fatigue set in towards the end of taking the maroon pills (which is just .625 mg of estogrens). I'm now on my third day of taking the blue pills (.625 mg of Premarin - estrogens AND 5 mg of MPA - progesterone) and literally felt a wave of health and energy coming back this morning. I'm wondering if this is a typical pattern. I'm visiting my Family Care physician (who started me on the HRT) on Thurs. Will be exploring the possiblity of my fatigue having been something viral or if it might be HRT related. I'm beginning to feel that perhaps its time to get a referral to an OB/GYN who may be more familiar with my concerns. What do people here think? Thanks.Shirley

I took Prempro for 3 years then went off. Couldn't stand the hot flashes so my doctor put me on Premphase which I took for 5 months. The hot flashes went away but I had so many other problems, such as headaches, palpitations, aches and pains in all parts of my body that I decided to not take anything. Fifteen days after I stopped (abruptly) taking Premphase I had the most unusual headache. It lasted only a minute but it felt like something erupted down one side of my head, behind my eye. I can only describe it as being struck by lightening. I visited my doctor, had a CT scan which came up negative. I am happy with the result but still would like to know why this occurred.

Hi, Zoie. I just wanted to selcome you to Power Surge. I've had these pains, too. In fact, I called them my "lightning pain". I don't know why I got them, or why they stopped, but they did a few years ago. I don't think mine related to any HRT or not, since I've been off that for nearly 5 years now.
Whatever it is, best of luck to you and welcome to Power Surge

I've also had the mysterious eye pain you mention. Scary, but I only had it once. As for fatigue, I feel jittery inside and limp like a dishrag quite often lately. Since I'm sixty and was feeling better for awhile, you'd think I'd be done with this nasty tiredness. At my age, I deserve to feel better. LOL.
