I can't figure it out. I had 2 operations, a stroke, and a heart attack the past few months but this cervix biopsy thing has me in quite a state. All I can think about lately. I am so afraid of it. Maybe it's because they might find something and I'll be back in the hospital. I'm just not ready for that. Had too much of hospitals and doctors for awhile. Also, thinking the test itself will hurt like .........well , will really hurt. Feel so dumb to be afraid of something that might not be anything. But I'm getting scared to death, and so tired of all this stuff :(Well, guess I'd better take a xanax and calm down .Thanks for listening, hugs jeanne

We are here for you, friend...you have had a tough time lately, but you know you have support here, every day, any time...it is very normal to be anxious - don't fight it.Thinking of you, special hugs x

You are NOT dumb to feel scared. It is perfectly natural and understandable after all you've gone through.  Take a Xanax and try to think of something else.  I know it won't be easy but give it a try.  We will all be with you in spirit when you have this test.  You are a very brave woman, Jeanne, and you can make it through this.  If nothing else, when you're lying there having the test picture 100's of women standing around the room cheering you on.  That should make you smile!

Jeanne,

I agree with Liz51. You are not dumb to be feeling anxious--you are normal! I'd be feeling the same way if I were in your shoes right now--probably pacing the floor nonstop. I've rid myself of  daily anxiety, but still tend to overreact to any unexpected problem concerning health matters. After what you've been through, I'd say you're doing extremely well.  Soon, this too, will be over.  You are surrounded by such positive energy here that I know you'll be just fine. Believe in yourself--you can get through this, too.

I agree!  But, I gotta say, if I were lying there with my legs up, and thought of all of you there cheering me on, I'd not only smile...I fall off the table laughing.  Maybe it's a GREAT idea...LOL!!!!

Seriously, you know we're all pulling for you...and sending the very best thoughts and wishes for you.  Hang in there.  It's perfectly normal to be anxious...expecially when they make you wait so dang long..UGH!

XOXO

Jeanne, you're not dumb. You're justifiably worried. Any of us would feel the same way in the same situation - and have!  As I just posted on the other board you created, I think in "Anxiety" (I can't remember if it was longer than a minute ago), try to think as positively as possible -- everything will turn out okay. Remember, we're all there with you -- standing by your side -- cheering you on. How can you go wrong with so many friends wishing you well?  You can't! smile.gif
