Hey girls,

For the first time in months and months I have slept 7 hours straight. I feel like I have died and gone to heaven!!! For about four months I was on 1/2 push of the estrogel--but it did not help with the vaginitis or restoring sleep. Then I increased to one full push but still did not notice much of a difference. This past week I have added in a .25 mg. vivelle dot patch-plus one full push of the estrogel. Now I don't know if it is just coincidental but I have had blessed sleep this week. Plus since going off the progesterone my bowels are much better. BUT--MY NIPPLES ARE EVEN MORE TENDER THEN EVER BEFORE.-ESPECIALLY MY LEFT ONE. PLUS I HAVE ONE AREA ON MY BREAST WHERE I HAD A FIBRO-CYCSTIC LUMP REMOVED PROBABLY TWENTY YEARS AGO AND THAT AREA IS SO SORE TO THE TOUCH. I AM SO BESIDES MYSELF.................. I THINK I HAVE FINALLY FOUND THE RIGHT DOSAGE FOR RESTORING SLEEP BUT NOW MY NIPPLES ARE MUCH MORE TENDER. THIS IS SCARING ME. DOES THIS MEAN I HAVE TO GO BACK DOWN TO A LOWER DOSE OF ESTRADIOL--HAS IT BEEN THE ESTRADIOL THIS WHOLE TIME THAT IS CAUSING MY TENDER NIPPLES. I THOUGHT IT WAS THE PROGESTERONE BUT I HAVEN'T BEEN ON IT THIS WEEK.
I AM GOING TO GO IN MY BEDROOM AND CRY.......................ANY HELP WOULD BE SO WELCOMED.

Hi Avalina,

First......welcome back to the wonderful world of sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!!! biggrin.gif Second, give your body sometime to adjust to the E. (I'm a high E kind of girl and sometimes my boobs get "tender".) Still in peri so not sure if its my own hormonal "fluxes" or what. Relax, peri alone can do all sorts of weird things that come and go..... Please, don't cry. Relax and look forward to sleep tonight............ (I too get occasionally aches in areas of previous injury.....seems to happen to many women....whether or not on hormones.) Please PM me if I can be of help. Regards to you, JZZ Oh and Progesterone messed up my pooping too. lol

After starting bios, I started sleeping, too. The first night that I slept for 7 hours straight, I thought something was terribly wrong with me. It was amazing. I think that your body might just need time to adjust. I usually sleep for at least 5 hours now each night, except around full moon time. Then for a few days, I wake up a million times. I am thinking about putting black-out shades up.

What type of progesterone were you taking? I was told that when your Estrogen is high enough, you can usually tolerate some progesterone. ??? This does not always seem to hold true. However, you might want to add just a bit of progesterone back later on????

Hi shebee,
I was taking vaginal progesterone cream 1 ml. per day 3 percent cream. Now I am just on the estrogel-1 full push and a .25 mg. vivelle dot patch--I think that is 1 mg.? Plus a couple of days a week I use the testosterone cream. I just have such a hard time with my bowels and candida in general when I use the P. I'm just concerned about my tender sore nipples but I am gonna hang in there and give it a month at this dosage.

I "think" (I get in trouble for that...LOL!) that you might try a bit of another kind of progesterone at a later date... at a very low dose, unless you really know that you cannot tolerate it. Have you tried oral progesterone or external cream? The vag. cream may be too strong and be causing your PH balance to be way off. (?????just guessing...just wondering) What type of bowel problems does the progesterone cause in your body? (just curious...ya don't have to answer if you don't want to)

Sore nipples usually indicate too much estrogen. It is a tricky balance because you want enough estrogen to keep the meno symptoms away.

Also...for Candida, get on a good pro-biotic and add Caprylic Acid. Grapefruit seed extract is good, too. Candida loves alcohol and sugar. You might want to take a look at the candida diet. http://www.thecandidadiet.com/whatiscandida.htm You might try this first Before adding any progesterone back and then if/when you do, only do a bit...just like you are doing the testosterone. I don't know why, but I seem to do best on the oral progesterone????

Let me know how you are doing,

Hi Shebee,
Thanks for responding. No-I have not tried the oral P. Just the vaginal P. I will give the oral cream a try though. I know I need to use some kind of P at some point since I have my uterus. When I do take the P I have bad gastro problems and bad stools--i.e. diarrhea and loose stools--plus my candida symptoms kick into gear--like toenail fungus, vaginitis, etc. I have been taking Olive leaf extract, garlic and oregano oil because I read that those are good for candida. I have not tried Caprylic Acid or grapefruit seed extrct--BUT I WILL. Thanks for the info. I have been on a low carb diet but have still been eatting fruit. I seem to do okay until I take the P. Wow--if it is not one thing it is another. LOL. Thanks avalina

Let me know how you are doing,
Shebee

Shebee
Olive leaf extract, garlic and oregano are all great! Probiotics are necessary, too. They help with yeast over-growth.

Do you ever feel like you have a "pill" breakfast? LOL!
