I'm starting to feel pins and needles on top of one foot when i rub a certain area around the middle. What is this from? Now today I had
pedicure and now I feel the pins and needles on the top of the foot when i walk barefoot. no pain, just tingling weird sensation.

Is this low estrogen or something? ANyone get this?

Hi Corky21,
yes I do get that once in a while, sometimes when massaging my feet, big toe as well, both feet. And I get as well, like today tingling in feet and tip of fingers. I had nerve test done and they did not find anything abnormal. It is supposed to be hormonal. If you are getting too worried about this, ask your doctor about it. There are many posts on PS though talking about those weird feelings, called paresthesia.
take care

Hi Corky .... yes, this was one of the very first peri symptoms I had. It happened one night, for no reason. I was on the phone, lying on my bed, I got up to go into the kitchen for a drink, and lo and behold, this pins and needles thing started. It got worse and worse. I thought I had some kind of blood clot or something. I spent a few weeks with that, in my right leg, then it switched to the left .... along with burning, stinging, aches and PAIN! Yeah, it's fun. The pins and needles began on the TOP of my foot, just like you, and then, eventually, it was the whole foot. It lasted, all in all, between both legs......a few weeks. It has never returned since, and that was almost 3 yrs. ago.

Don't worry, I'm sure it's hormonal ... smile.gif

So wierd I found this post because I woke up in the middle of the night last night with the most intense pain on the top of my foot! I woke up and thought, "what the heck is going on"? is this a clot and it's going to travel to my leg, what? I was scared. I rubbed my foot for a bit and then it eventually went away. If this is menopause, it's really wierd ohmy.gif

Hi corky,

Believe it or not, this is a common symptom of being B-vitamin deficient. Are you taking a b-50 complex and B-12? It could also be related to foot trauma of some kind....exercise...bad shoes...it happens in the hands...carpel tunnel)
