hello Lyndimac,
I agree with Fried, if the pain is bad and you have not had a bowel movement in few days, you need to have it checked. you take care and I will be thinking about you hoping you will be feeling better very soon.

I get the punched in the stomach feeling, a lot. My stomach will feel HEAVY as all heck. The cramping pin like sensations could be cuz your constipated. That happens to me sometimes when I haven't gone in a few. I am battling w/the not being able to go too. Just avoid bread, cheese and all that stuff that can bind you up and make it worse. Drink lots of water. I would still go see a doctor tho to rule out anything.

lindy. I agree with the rest of the ladies and what they said. I have been dealing with the const. also and have appt to have this checked. Diet changes help but there are other things to do too, to help.
Hope you feel better real soon.

enough
ibs can occur with constipation or diarrear (however it's spelled). I never get the first so don't know how it feels, but it could be that. Me, I would go to the doctor just to put my mind at ease. Stress makes the stomach do strange things too. Mine was out of whack for 3 days this week. Have you ever used benefiber? I hear that helps too. Either way, I hope you feel better quick.
meno stuff
IBS, along with stomach issues has been my partner from start of Peri, to this whatever Post meno is. Metamucil is good to stay more regulated, and increasing fiber in the diet. I place a heat pad on chest, abdomen, and this can really help for pain. Heartburn can run along with this and cause scary spasms that feel like heart palps or join in with them. Reflux certainly can wake you at night and avoiding food for 3 to 4 hrs before bed can help. Mylanta, maalox, gaviscon, can help with gas pains in the stomach and also heartburn. If you ever take Proton Pump INhibitors, do not take for extended time. I made that mistake. Serotonin gut, brain connection goes haywire in Meno. Anxiety, stress seem to fuel it.
See a doctor if this continues.
Hope this clears up for you and you feel better soon.
