Anyone feel worse after taking bio estrogen,it's so confusing to know if it's not enough or too much!! I'm taking Divigel, could feel a sharp ovulation pain the other day, and ever since feel so crappy,no sleep, heart racing, hot and sweaty! This just gets to me ..no uterus just one ovary and levels of e and p came back very low yet I still felt that ovulation pain??

I have read here from some article that when starting hormones things could get worse at first before better as the hormones wake up receptor sites.......I have tried biest, now 4'x and this last time I took it for 3 maybe 4 weeks and the couple of weeks before my period were just horrible, as its arrival came closer things just got worse....hours before it came I couldn't walk without getting horrible palp's, felt very weak and dizzy, crawled to the bathroom(literally thinking I would use a bed pan if I had one I just couldn't get up) and crawled around the house, just layed and cried......don't know if the hormones played a role in the severity of this months period or not.....it usually is rough but this was pretty bad. As far as the low hormones mine are very low also with a pretty high FSH at the times it has been checked, but usually every month I feel the twinge of ovulation, however sproradic it is there.....by sporadic meaning it is coming at really odd times, times that don't make sense in a "normal" cycle, like well before it should. I hope this helps....I don't know anything about the divigel, hopefully someone will chime in that does...just can say what I have learned with the other things you are experiencing. GOOD LUCK and HUGS Mikki

I felt bad on the bi-est because I wasn't getting enough estradiol. mine was combined with progesterone so I was progesterone dominant and felt tired and depressed the entire time.

Divigel, I believe is similar to estragel and once I began taking Estrogel, I felt much much better. Are you also taking progesterone? Because I would wonder why you are feeling hot if you are getting enough estrogen. The doctor did warn me though that it might take awhile for me to feel results and asked me to be patient. Maybe mine kicked in right away because of the previous bi-est.

I'm taking a minute amount of compounded bi-est and I feel fine. I felt great from the first time I tried prescription progesterone & bi-est cream. Notice that I said cream because the capsule form irritated my ibs. I must say that I did have a increase anxiety once when I began taking bi-est which I can not fully blame on the medication since other things were going on in my life at that time. I did contact the specialist and she suggest lowering my dosage and finding what works for me. What works is a very tiny pea size amount. I feel weird with anything larger. Hope this helps smile.gif.

Yes, I feel worse now if I try to take estrogen either via patch, cream or tablet.
It starts my heart palps up again, increases my hot sweats, exacerbates my tendency towards low blood sugar and makes me feel dizzy, emotional and sad. It also starts up my internal trembling again and I thought it was supposed to help with that. So, I'm wondering if estrogen can also have a paradoxical response in some people, the same as progesterone can?

Maybe my estrogen receptors are on holiday in some exotic location somewhere or just rebelling that they want to stay the **** asleep?

Thank you for the response! I might try that too! I think the gels and patches always hurt my stomach, I also have ibs, everytime I use the gel my stomach, lower back, and even throat hurt! I will talk to my Gyno and see what else I can take, the Bi-est was something I took awhile back and never bothered me!!
