Hi saw an Endo the other day what a great Dr. she spent 2 hrs with me and assured me this was all Meno , said the sudden and rapid loss of hormones and not being in Peri yet through my body for a loop. She wants me to try Bi Est 0.625mg with 25mg Progesterone in a cream form has anyone used this? I,m leary about HRT due to sideeffects in the past, but she said I need to get hormonaly balanced, So has anyone tried this combo? I have no uterus so I,m nervous about the Progesterone, Thanks

I tried bi-est in the beginning, it contains estriol and estradiol if my memory is correct. It sounds like she's suggesting low doeses on both the bi-est & P. Does she want you to use the P, continuosly or does she want you to cycle? When I first began, I was taking a compound of biest w/ P & Testosterone. She had me on it continously. It didn't work for me. I had trouble absorbing the E. After many trials and errors I'm not taking estradiol only in pill form, compounded Testosterone and vaginal progesterone. It's working better for me.
I thought women without a uterus didn't need progesterone?? I understand your concerns. Most all of us who supplement have a healthy fear of it, but it comes down to quality of life and that's something only we as individuals can determine. How bad do you feel? That's a question I ask myself often to decide if I want to continue this.
Good luck in your choice,

I tried using just estrogen after my hysterectomy and developed signs of estrogen excess on even the smallest of doses. I had to add some otc progesterone cream for 2 weeks a month to balance my hormones otherwise I develop water retention, breast tenderness, brain fog and leg cramps.
It sounds like you will be using the progesterone for balance so I was wondering if you could start on the biest initially and maybe add the progesterone after a trial of estrogen only.
