I just posted last night on what I felt was a postmenopausal estrogen surge, and then this a.m. as I woke I turned my head and felt a severe nausea wave along with my heart racing. It seemed that the heart was racing as soon as the wave started, though I do tend to have heart racing when I feel I might throw up, so I don't know if either one caused the other.

Needless to say, I somewhat panicked, but not as much as I usually do with something startling. The racing continued for a couple minutes and then seemed to calm down. I know in the dream I was having I was eating something and felt some nausea in the dream. I hate to start the doctor visits again for the heart. I did that a few years ago. I mentioned occasional general nausea to my GP who said nausea was an anxiety symptom. I've been in the throes of anxiety for this whole year, but probably life-long problem.

My question is does anyone ever wake up due to sudden nausea and is it accompanied by heart racing? As I said last night, I always think the worst.

I guess I'm on a roll with symptoms.

Thanks to anyone replying.

P.S. I occasionally wake up with nausea, but not a sudden extreme nausea that actually wakes me, and it is not accompanied by heart racing, and no other symptoms.

I feel like I apologizing for this mess I am.

Please don't apologise! Most of us here are in a mess! Yes, I have a lot of trouble with palps and heart racing and sometimes nausea too. Eating or drinking can get my heart going crazy and there are lots of other triggers too. Some i notice and some i don't. Anxiety certainly has my heart all over the place. And I get tightness across the chest. Often I wake up at around 6.0am with my chest tight and my heart jumping around. It's really scary. I'm sure that lots of us here who can relate to what you're experiencing, so don't feel too alone.

i get bad bad palps right after i eat
so i can tell you as a fact that the stomach is some how connected with the palps
i dont need a dr to tell me this
i live it on a daily basis
it used to scare me
but now it just pisses me off .....

Thank you endless and nc for your replies. I have not had a return of that symptom for the last two nights. Hoping it stays away for good.

You just never know what any given day will deliver!
