Ok, I am on the first day of my cycle and things do get strange/uncomfortable around this time, but this is a new one. I was standing in the kitchen and my right leg started to feel strange..a little heavy. So I am thinking, could I be having a stroke, but there is no numbness anywhere on the leg. I can balance perfectly well on the leg, it seems to have a normal range of motion. The sensation is mostly from the knee down on the back side. The only noticeable difference is when I sit in a chair and straighten that leg it seems a bit heavier than the other.

If I run to the er they will think I am crazy..they are already starting to wonder. I know someone who felt their brain vibrate and it was due to depression/hormones, anyway the AD took it away. So I know that hormones can do some really strange things. I am just wondering if anyone has experienced any strange sensations in their extremities?

Does your leg ache too? I get the heavy achy legs - normally my left one!! When the ache goes - which can take a day or so, I always have more thread veins appear in the area where it was hurting. Don't know why - other than hormonal and age. My Dr wasn't that bothered when I went to see him about it - he didn't think it was anything to worry about.

Hope you feel better soon.

It doesn't really ache. It feels like when you have been sitting on your leg and you get up and it's kinda asleep. No pins and needles just numbish.

Ok, not a dr. here yall know that-but it sounds like some kind of nerve impingement. Hope things get back to normal, soon.

Well this symptom disappeared the next day. My lower back was a little achy so I went to the chiro. Maybe it was a nerve thing or just another weird peri symptom.

I went to the dr about similar problems but mine is in the upper back which aches, my legs and arms feel like they are on edge it usually goes but for the last two weeks it has hung around when I said about the heavy feeling when I walk she said its another sympton of menopause, i was the same I went to ER twice they said it was anxiety mixed with Meno.
The anxiety came from panicking about a stroke, which your brain tells you while its happening, no control over thoughts. health anxiety is scary, so my HRT has been upped to see if that helps, when will it end hey?

It's funny, I was reading the Adrenal Fatigue thread the other day and a couple people specifically mentioned weakness in the calf muscles. Ever since I read Dr. Lee's book I have been convinced that I have some moderate AF, in fact it helped make sense of many of my strange symptoms. So maybe this is just another AF symptom. Hmmm.
