My uterus is enlarged due to multiple fibroids, no babies, pretty sure I don't have OAB. No other possible explanation for bladder woes. My doctor(gyno) thinks it could be my uterus pressing against my bladder. The urologist he referred me to told me that I would still need the bladder repair surgery because I would lose the support of the surrounding muscles if I had my uterus removed. Anyone experience this? Please help. I need to decide whether to take my uterus out before my insurance changes and we get some crappy new plan. I also have a complicated cyst on my right ovary that needs to come out, so I'm wondering if I should just have everything done at once or if I should avoid the partial hyst. because it is more envolved, more complicated surgery than the laparscopy. I'm also wondering if my bigU could be damaging other organs too?

Thanks for any help and for your time

Hi bigU

I wish I had answers for you. I have a bladder problem, it is falling. It started after my second child. The doc then said it was something to do with my uterus being turned awkwardly.

I know no one has answered you yet but give it a little while and I am sure they will.

It is a tough decision but you will do what is right for you. Maybe you should talk to your gyno again about which way would be good for you.

Hugs,
