I've found a lump just inside my vagina - it feels about the size of a cherry, and is quite hard. I've recently started using oestrogen cream, but the doc I saw said there was no connection with the cream, and it will probably go away on it's own. I have been having physiotherapy for bladder issues, and my physio says it's not a bartholin's cyst, and my consultant might want to look at it. I don't know whose advice to follow.

It sounds like a cyst to me.You say you just found it,so it has not been there long?I would ask my dr to look at it,and if it does not go away or gets larger have them do a biopsy.I sincerely believe it is probably just a cyst-but if you are very worried get it checked out.GOD-bless

I had one on the outside of my vagina years ago. I sat in a hot tub of water for awhile and then gave it a squeeze and it popped. Gone!!!

Is it sore to the touch?? If you press on it and it's sore it's probably just a cyst that will either pop or go away on it's own. If it's NOT sore I'd have it looked it. I get them ALL the time... I don't know why but I'm just more prone to them. Like Jill, if I sat in a hot bath it usually came to a head and I could pop it. If it didn't then it just eventually just went away.

But it never hurts to have these things looked at.

It could be a bladder prolapse. Have yourself examined standing up. I have one and was diagnosed with that.

Thanks to all who have replied - no, the lump doesn't hurt so I think I'll get in touch with the consultant as recommended by my physiotherapist. It probably is a cyst - I have had them in other areas before, but for some reason I feel concerned about this. Two years ago I had a breast lump, and it didn't worry me at all. I had it checked of course, and you've guessed...it was a cyst. It was drained at the hospital, job done! Fingers crossed for a similar outcome this time.
