Hi Girls
Well I had my Dr's appointment tonight to find out why my back is still hurting after 5 months, straight away he said I believe it is fibromyaglia sorry if that is spelt wrong.
I had to go to the hospital and have blood taken to out rule everything else but he is pretty sure he knows what it is. He also asked me what was your oestrogen score was I had to say I have no idea as noone has told me, I filled out the sheet to get a score it was 35 which is the score that women get when they are untreated, get this though I have been on HRT for 6 weeks, looks like I am on the wrong one.
This Dr was amazing it was like sitting in a room with one of the girls. I will find out Monday what is wrong for sure keep your fingers crossed, he said the meds for fibro are not cheap, if it gives me peace I don't care. Thanks to everyone here I knew what he was talking about tonight so a big hug from me to you, I have become so informed in such a short time i love this site.

Lack of Oestrogen can cause a lot of aches and pains. My doctor was ready to diagnose me with fibromyalgia but we both held of for awhile to see if things would improve. I did a lot of floor exercise and changed my diet and eventually my aches and pains improved considerably. By the way, have you had your thyroid checked? Thyroid problems can also result in aches and pains and mimic fibromyalgia. I'm not saying your doctor is wrong, I'm just asking you not to be too hasty to grab a diagnosis to explain away your symptoms. Do a bit of research.

Yes I had all that done earlier, they said I had arthritis but when he looked at the xrays last night he said its only mild.
We did more blood tests last night and going by the score for oestrogen I am low on that when I go back Monday they will look at that again and tweek the HRT.
The blood tests will either rule out fibromyalgia or confirm it, I wont be treated for it until everything else shows negative.

I hope that he also thought to run a lyme disease panel on you. Lyme disease is very under-diagnosed and causes many symptoms. This one is really important!
