Ken woke up this morning with some really severe belly pain. He won't go to the ER until it is intolerable because he doesn't have insurance. Please say a quick prayer that this will pass quickly. Thanks so much.

What's going to happen if it's something serious and he waits until it's too late??

I hope the hubbie is feeling better. I know health care costs are sky high when you don't have insurance and many people choose to take a wait and see approach sometimes. Many times we run in only to find out it's nothing and we walk out with a heady bill. Just make sure he doesn't wait too long, hospitals will work out payment plans. Better to be safe than sorry. Take care, Mich

Good morning...add me to the list of people who are praying for your Ken. I have to admit that I am one who has a dislike for hospital, drugs, and doctors, (with the exception of my bio doc.)
Did he get a hold of some bad food or is it something more serious? Food poisoning is very common. At first signs of any intestinal distress, I load up on pro-biotics.
Keep us informed,
Shebee

Thanks girls for the words and prayers. He went to a certain point with the pain (and he has a HIGH pain threshold that would probably have me rolling on the ground screaming!) and it stayed there for most of the day. He was finally able to go to sleep about 4PM yesterday and slept until 3AM this morning. His pain is down and he is doing better. Thank you so much for caring.

ladybug, my prayers go out to Ken! I hope he is already feeling better this morning. But honestly, insurance or not, if he has unrelenting SEVERE belly pain, he needs to go to the ED. It could be something serious and waiting too long to make it even worse to deal with (and cost more in the long run). Hospitals are usually good about payment plans. My hope is that he is feeling more his normal self today and the ED won't be necessary. Keep us posted!

Pain is the bodys way of telling you something is seriously wrong. take him to the hospital, his appendix may have burst or something that may cause sepsis,, dont play around with this.

Agree with you, didgens and all the Sisters who say GO.
It could be gas.... but it could be something seriously not ok.
Go find out what is wrong with your Sweety.
