I wanted to ask this to see if it happens to anyone else....
WHenever I have the buzzing going on...which mostly seems to be in my chest or head...it only happens during the first few moments of deep sleep. It wakes me upfor a second and I am usually too tired to wake up good enough to really experience it.
What's up with it happening only during sleep?
I'm on .625 Premarin and the only thing it seems to be helping is my hot flashes....still having palps and buzzing.

I get the buzzing, but it seems to be a little different in that I get it in my legs and it just when I wake up. It lasts for about 10 seconds or so, and like you I'm too tired to do to much about it, and I go back to sleep. It's very weird!

I had same hung about 3 years ago! Same time and in the trunk of my body. I was under alot of stress at the time. Tried gastro. doctor, thought it was from reflux. Even tried neurologist. He said could be hormones and stress. I had hysto about 18 months prior, but they left my ovaries. Neuro gave me kolonopin to settle me down. I think I took it for 2 weeks. No problems since. Maybe once or twice, but now I know I am not crazy or dying ! I know I M in peri because my husband found this site and told me I had to many symptoms NOT to be:) I am on zoloft now too!

I have it day or night but sometimes onl night. Same with the tingling but this is much worse at night. I lie there trying to get back to sleep tingling all over
and burning with it. Just like stings all over or flickering flames. I hate it.

I did not have burnng, more like A/C vibrating. My neuro was very understanding-said medical community doesn't know all the symptoms we can have with peri and meno. I like him:)

hi,
I get the tingling and buzzing night or day some days are worse than other. lately the buzzing is in my lower abdominal but used to be in my left foot. I am on clonopin for the past 2 weeks and started effexor. Has helped me to sleep better and not to feel so anxious and worried about it. I still feel the buzzing and tingling but the intensity has decreased.
One of my friend has had this for 2 years now but she does have the anxiety that I have.
Hope today is a good day for you all

For me, the buzzing/vibrating happens almost any time but is worse when I am physically inactive. I woke this morning feeling like my brain was rattling or shaking up and down in my head. Other times, it's a more quiet hum in my chest that lately is accompanied by a burning sensation. I also have the tingling that radiates to my lips and the soles of my feet. This started about 4 months ago and I used to think something was very wrong with me. When it gets very intense, I still get upset and worried. But thanks to a great doctor who actually knew that menopause could cause these symptoms (because I certainly didn't!), I'm slowly learning to co-exist with these sensations.
