I've really seem to have it bad in the mornings.I wake up afraid to get out of bed because as soon as I walk around my adrenals start,prickly heat up my back makes me want to crawl out of my skin.Feel I got to hurry and make lunches and breakfast and then I want everyone out fast as I got to get on my yoga matt to cool/calm down.Then I can have breakfast.It seems to settle down by 10am.I read somewhere most hot flashes happen between6am-9am and 6pm-10pm.I also have some crazy dreams with them at night.Maybe it has something to do with your nervous system being stimulated?Feels like all my energy is moving up to my head and my feet feel strange.
Lack of hormones cause hypothalamus to overstimulate your and mine also, nervous systems, I too get worst anxiety upon awakening, it is cyclical, comes and goes, but always lurking.
I wish I knew how to get rid of it for good.
