I was thumbing through my new Harriet Carter catalog today and this is what I found:

Moisture Absorbing Nightgown
keeps you cool, dry and comfortable all night long. Breathable, roomy and moisture-wicking sleepwear provides superior ventilation while absorbing perspiration from the skin. Perfect for hot summer nights or for relief from night sweats and hot flashes. Hand-washable; dries quickly on a hanger. Imported.

Mind you, it is "roomy" and comes in one color.

I am not sure why but this just struck me as funny. I cannot imagine waking up soaked as I do and staying in what I was wearing!!!!!!!!! EEEEEwwwwwwwwwww.

Hi Stitch,
I saw this post and had to add a little something. Don't know how many of you have a SOMA store near you but they have some sleepwear like this as well. I just bought a beautiful long gown and robe made of material which wicks off the moisture as well. The gown I just bought is quite romantic (my husband likes it quite a lot!) and has bamboo in it. I know it sounds strange but it's very soft and stretchy too so quite comfortable. Something about the bamboo fibers that helps with the sweating issues.

HAH! To cheer myself up I bought some vintage nightgowns from the 1930's, real movie star-ish looking, not low v-neck Fredericks of Hollywood, just gorgeous "pretty" long gowns. I bet I look like dork in them, but will do my best to "swan around" the house in them ... this nightgown sounds much more realistic however.
But I don't feel very realistic right now ....

Hi Jan:

It sounds wonderful but I was worried about myself smelling if I stayed in that nightgown. I have trouble with that with the pajamas I wear now so I was thinking it is ok if takes the sweat away but what about the odor!
