I noticed awhile back that i have these small,reddish-orange bumps on my lower legs,in between my ankles and my calves. At first i thought maybe it was like a razor rash from shaving,so i stopped shaving my legs for a few weeks and they're still there. They don't hurt or itch or anything, and i wouldn't pay much attention to them except they're in the same place on both of my legs...anyone have a clue what they could be?It seems like i read somewhere it could be a sign of thyroid disorder?or was it diabetes?anyone know?my mind is in over-drive right now and i'm trying to google to find out what they are...

anyone?

LOL! First guess Chillblains....Chilblains is an inflammation of small blood vessels in your skin. Have you been in and out of cold water or had your legs exposed to cold?

Second... folliculitis is an infection of the hair follicles.

either on will go away in about 1-2 weeks.

Flea bites? LOL! Now I am really reaching....

Give us a bit more information.

well, they're not any kind of bug bites....they don't itch or burn or anything, they're just there....kinda looks a bit like poison ivy bumps, except they're reddish orange looking...

I am sending you to these sites. Try and find a picture of what it looks like.

It might take some time, but I bet that you will be able to identify it. If you do, please let us know.

Hi Moonlight,

Missed this post yesterday,sorry.

But to say I had a similar if not same thing on my legs back in june,I think I posted about it somewhere??

Mine were like blood blister type thing and had been shaving legs alot, not sure if sensitive to shave foam or razor blades(sensitive to everything nowadays!!) they were varying in size but all pretty small.

And to add it took a few weeks to go. Never did know what it was.

hope this helps some

Kath

Ah...now it is changing. So it is not isolated to one area. Now I am very curious, and I bet you are very distressed!

I'm sorry; this rash stuff is all you need on top of meno!

Please let us know what is going on.

Thanks,

Shebee

allergic reaction? Hot tub rash?????

If they weren't on both legs and you hadn't developed a rash I would guess cherry angiomas which are benign moles -- my dermo said you get them as you get older they call them the wisdom spots or something like that, lol. But, now that you have a rash I am stumped. It's good you are going to the Dr. we can spend days/weeks worrying and end up going to the Dr. and finding out it's nothing and a little cream or med will take care of it. Good luck and take care. i didn't go to the dr. afterall because the next day the rash on my hands/arms was gone.I still have the bumps on my legs, but i'm just gonna pretend they aren't there.....
