Hi All,
Just wondering for those who use BHRT in a cream or gel 2x a day............what times do you put the creams on? I put my first dose on around 6:30ish am and was puting the second on at 7ish pm or a bit later.....assuming that 12 hours between was the way to do it for a steady even dose, however by 3ish pm I am noticing symptoms more and actually start flashing some......are the creams out of my system by 3 or on a downward swing, I started thinking if I put the second on at 7-8ish I am getting the upward swing of it while sleeping and this doesn't do me any good. I am assuming that the creams leave your system at some point, just not sure when that is. Am I making any sense, I am trying to explain this the best I can.......what do the rest of you do? I am going to call the pharmacist, but am not expecting a solid answer so I thought I would ask here. HUGS Mikki

Hey there,
I put my E and P on in the morning whenever I have the chance, usually around 8:30 or 9 AM. When I was using two doses, I would put the second dose of E on no later than dinner time, usually around 3 PM which is when I could feel myself pooping out of energy.
If I used E any time after say 4 or 5 PM, I would be up all night.
Hope this helps.

Well, my routine is similar. I start my first dosage after my morning shower. I end with my last dosage ( when I used to split them) right before bed, that way I would feel the energy upon waking up in the morning and no hot flashes during the night, this worked for me.

Sorry, forgot to add that I never used P in the mornings only at night because it made me so sleepy.

Hey Chanel,
I use mine am /pm. Seems like you and I are in the same boat. My E is also at 52 and I am still having the same issues you are. No hot flashes but everything else. My hair is terrible! How long have you been on bhrt and what type do you use? What kinds of stomach issues are you having? This is very confusing!

Dee,
My hair is awful...it was bad before, like string in the back, now my sides and temples are losing too...what a nightmare. I was originally on a bio estrogen/testosterone
mix cream for almost 2 years and my hair was ok. I stopped the testosterone because i had dark, unwanted hair growth on my inner thighs where I put it, and it was causing me too much anxiety. Things were better for 1 month after that, but then i began to lose tons, tons of hair. I started back on a low dose of the testosterone cream a few weeks hoping it will help with the hair. I was reading an article that said we still can have estrogen dominance symptoms with (Low) estrogen because (I )have no testosterone, progesterone or DHEA. So, I have too much estrogen and not enough of the other hormones...makes sense..need to balance I guess. Going to try some DHEA again too...all very low doses
I just have the problem of tolerating estrogen side effects....could even be causing the hair loss. Everytime I put my cream on, my head-sinuses plug up, get a bit dizzy and my stomach gets bad...gas, bloating, indigestion. I think Im allergic to it or something?
