For the last four days my nips have been EXTREMELY sensitive and even clothes brushing against them hurts! Is this hormonal? It's a new symptom for me. Had hysterectomy at thirty one but still have overies. No meds for meno either. Does this last or will it go away? It is painful when touched!

I've had that problem before and I've read where others have had it too, but I have not had a hysterectomy. You still have your ovaries, so I would say it's hormonal.

They itch too sometimes.

Nah, you're not the only one. sorry, I wanted to respond earlier but got called away from the computer before I had the chance. I've had this problem for what seems like my whole life, since teen years! Always several days before my period my nipples would begin to get very sensitive to touch and always "perky" regardless of what might be going on or not. It was always my first sign of pregnancy so I always knew pretty early on that I was. Uterus or not, if you still have your ovaries you still have some hormones flowing so you can blame them! Hopefully, it'll not last too long for you. For me it lasted until my period was over or well into my pregnancies if I was PG. At 55, I still get it.

Yes - I also had this - one of my early menopausal symptoms. I had it for quite a while. Went to the doctors and she sent me for a mammogram, everything was ok. It eventually went away. Also I too had partial hysterectomy leaving my ovaries when I was 37.

Take care Sky
