So I began this journey about 6 weeks ago. I have not had a period and I have always been very very regular. I am 44, have been experiencing perimenopause symptoms since my 30's. The hot flashes started about 4 weeks ago. I started taking Estroven Extra Strength 2 weeks ago, and I would say it alleviated the hot flashes and night flashes about 90%. I noticed on the Estroven the black cohosh strength was 80 mg. So, after looking around the internet I found just regular black cohosh with 540 mg in it. Last night I took just the black cohosh 540 mg. No Estroven. I had hot flashes most of the night.
Has anyone experienced this by changing just to the black cohosh. I don't know if I should just stay on the Estroven. I really don't want to experience the hot flashes like I have in the past month or so. Do you think it is the other ingredients in Estroven that worked, and maybe just the Black Cohosh is not enough.
Any advice will be helpful.
Thank you

Hello and welcome to Powersurge smile.gif

If you feel that the Estroven works but black cohosh alone doesn't then why don't you go back to what is working for you?
It doesn't really matter which part of the Estroven works as long as you are not getting any side effects from it, does it?

I, myself, never found any of the herbal things worked for me so if you have found something natural that works for you then that is great! Go with it .
