I've had bouts with short palps, but the ones that last for hours, are dreadful. I'm glad I don't know when they occure. I had one of thoes BIG ones last evening that lasted til eairley this mornin. It felt like someone was beating on my chest til I couldn't move. It beat the energy out of me to where all I could do was rest. I'm a late nite person, but last nite I went to bed at a quater of nine. mad.gif

The “all-nighters palps” will eventually stop. One thing that seemed to have helped for me was reminding myself “I’m not going to die from palp attacks”. Say it during the day when your not having the palp attack. I’ve had probably 7 all-nighters total, but I haven’t had one in about 6-8 months now, I wished I’d kept a journal.
Also, I heard, now this may seem silly, and I haven’t tried it myself yet because I only heard it last night. But if you press your right thumb to your right nostril, and take slow deep breaths through your left nostril it’s supposed to signal the calming part of your brain and relax you. (I’m paraphrasing) but I couldn’t hurt to give it a try.

Are you taking magnesium? I used to the the palps - scary stuff. I also usedto tell myself, all will be well. These won't hurt you. I think there is a supplement called Nature Calm that has the magnesium and vitamin D in it. Something like that.

I take 250 mg of magnesium every night. It's calming. Some people take 500 mg. Too much and you can get the runs. It has really helped almost eliminate my palps. I only get them briefly if I'm under a lot of stress.
