Is anyone out there taking BCP for periomenopause symptoms ? Anyone taking Loestrin 24 ? Just curious because I started taking it yesterday and was wondering how long before you see some results.

Also, wanted to know if taking the bcp and taking a drug for osteoporosis together is possible if anyone has any experience with this.

I took Yaz bcp for peri and some symptoms got better, some worse......but most docs will tell you to take it for 3 months at least to get the full effect of the pill.

As far as a bcp with osteoporosis, that is something you need to definitely discuss with your doc, babe. Oestrogen will effect bone density over time, which is why I have to get my Vit D levels up so that it can help my body absorb calcium and help with my bones......so as for the science, I am unsure, but it sounds very serious so your doc really needs to sit with you and discuss pros and cons.......
