Does anyone or has anyone taken L-Glutamine? Has it worked for your anxiety? What doseage ? My Doc suggested it for me at 500mg 1-2 X per day. Being that I am drug sensitive and get freaked out over any new thing I take. Has anyone taken it in conjuction with their Xanax? Any feed back would be helpful.

My son takes l -glutamine after his workouts. Not sure how much he uses but I know he uses a powder and mixes it with juice. It helps build muscle among other things. It's not a drug, but a naturally occurring nutrient made in your body.
I have heard that it can be calming and also that there are no side effects from using it (although taking too much of anything is not a good idea).
If you Google it, you'll find all kinds of information on it.
Maybe try using half the dose your doctor recommended and see how it works?
