my hair started thinning about a year ago. my friend suggested I might be in peri, and that caused thinning hair, and that progesterone would help to thicken it. so I found an over the counter cream at whole foods, and started adding a little est prog to try it out. it did seem my hair thickened. does anyone have any other tips for hair?

also recently I read that gray hair is caused by copper deficiency, so I got two types of copper supplements, and the gray is starting to go away! has anyone else heard of this or tried it?

10mg Biotin daily for thinning/loss of hair.
Hmmmm...copper. Will look into that. I heard something in passing once but never knew of copper supplements.

I take the extra Biotin and Biosil every night. You need to take both. I checked with my doctor and they are safe to take. I think it has helped my hair, which was really falling out, and my nails. My nails are much stronger.

I also take extra Vitamin D and Calcium every day, on top of a One-a-Day for Women. Those only have about 10% of the biotin we need everyt day.

I would, however, ask a doctor before taking extra Copper. Never heard of that. You wouldn't want to hurt anything in your body by too much of a mineral like that.
