Okay ....... i know i've been posting up a storm the last few days, and you're all probably sick of this ...... but, I think i'm actually ovulating again! THIS IS NUTS! I'm supposed to get my period about now....or within a few days anyway.....that would make it the "normal" 25 - 28 day cycle for me...which over the last year or so hasn't always been like that anyway........ somtimes i"ll get two periods in a month, other times, it'll be 2 weeks late .... so, I'm "off" when it comes to that ........ but, you all know i've been posting the last few days about this awful BLOATING,... these horrid weird "pains"/ache/stabbing sudden pains around the left ovary area .... sometimes it'll shoot down my left leg (same side) or into the groin.... my abdomen is bloated out terribly, but that "deflates" on and off too,,then bloats out again.......and I've spoken about this weird "spare tire" or "roll" ive developed over the last few months.....and ESPECIALLY OVER THE LAST TWO WEEKS.... which worried me becasue between the bloating, the HUGE spare tire draping itself from one hip,down over my abdomen, and up to the other hip ... to say the least about these weird bad stabbing pains around my ovary area (which is also where the colon is, and i'm dealing with IBS now as well, and am constipated)...then we add to that the lower back ache, on the same side (left) and you have one panicky, perimenopausal crazy woman here.....thinking thoughts about ovarian cancer (which,...by the way, does anyone here know what that actually feels like....what are the 'pains" like with that>) .... BUT THEN.......I jsut went into the bathroom, had a tiny BM...(lovely, i know)....but, i noticed on the toilet paper, that same yellowish fluid that comes out when you are OVULATING!

So...................after all this insanity............ I wonder ....... if all of this could be from ovulation?


I need opinions and personal experiences with ovulation, and whatever you can throw at me........

I know during ovulaiton, you can get a lot of stabbing pains as well,..... they sometimes feel like cramps, but more like a sudden pain ..... sometiems it goes down my leg, sometimes not....... I have no other symptoms, i mean, i basically feel "normal" for me in peri ......... other than this right now. ....... I have read and read about ovarian cancer pain.......but it's all so diff. from woman to woman......some say crampy pains (which sent me into a panic)...others say more of a twinge, then others say.....nothing, no pain at all....the list goes on and on........ I'd rather have a personal story if anyone has had to deal with this................. but other than that.....i wonder if this could've been ovulation coming on.......AGAIN!

I hear you sister...I was just searching the site about ovarian pain because I am having some today. Left side...sharp pains when I move..and my period is about 4 days away! Same as you!
I can't predict when the ovarian pain is going to happen. It seems to happen at ovualation...and now before my period and sometimes right at the end of my period. <sigh>
I too get bloating etc. I too have IBS.
Have you had a pelvic ultrasound done? Just curious, sounds like you might have some "garden variety" cysts. I have cysts on both my ovaries. Have you mentioned this pain to your doctor?

I have had ovulation pain,but it only lasts a day or two.If you want to know if you are ovulating you can take your temperature it goes up when you ovulate.I have lower backache and nausea sometimes too.Usually mid cycle.But if the pain persists I would get it checked out.{{{Big Hug}}} Lumz

for me, at the end of peri, i would get ovulation pains each month along with all the other pms symptoms but no period. each month, when i felt my period coming, i'd use pads and tampons just to be sure (but i was positive i'd get my period because of the symptoms, ovulation pains etc.) and nothing would come.
i'm 18 months without a period now.
i have had a couple of those episodes since and am sure it's my ovary trying to do something.....;-) it never lasted too long, maybe a day or two then it would pass. i also had some bloating at the time, but it would pass also.
looking back, all of that was much easier to deal with than how i'm feeling now.....:-(

if you are concerned, maybe head to the doc for a quick check, but it sounds like you're on your way to beginning the end!

I have always had ovulation pain, lately it seems to come more than once a month and goes on for days.....my pain is severe at times reaching down my legs and around my back......at times sitting, walking and having a BM can really hurt directly over my ovary when ovulating. mY periods were also all over for 3 years and have ben coming within 24-28 days for a few mo. now and all I can say is you would think I would feel better being somewhat regular after all that, but I feel alot worse, doesn't make sense.
