yesterday, the same thing happened to me, i wanted to cry and sleep the day away, my emotions went flat and i couldn't see the light of day, or any days forcoming. last nite i slept fairly well, and my mood lightened up somewhat. i also know the holidays and cold weather will be coming and wonder how i am going to do it all, including going to my mum's constantly, she lives alone, so i do not have any real help.
i got off the subject, i wanna give you a big (((((((HUG)))))), and join you in a cry-fest!

sincerely,
boo (take care of yourself, this happens to mostly everyone, and it isn't any fun at all!)

Oh you lucky girl! I'll trade places with you any time...I'll be 55 on the 29th. Whatever, it beats the alternative. A lot of things in my life aren't perfect right now but a lot of things are very good so I can't really complain too much. Being 55 isn't one of the things I'm going to get upset over, can't change it so why worry about it. Treat yourself to something fun and mood lifting and you'll be fine!!!

Happy Birthday!! Everyone has their birthday blues at different ages. 43 is still a wonderful age. I too wouldn't mind being 43 (I'm 50, which was my birthday blues age) It hit me BAD and with it some lovely peri stuff. 51 is not as off putting to me. I guess I just had to adjust to the fact that I was actually in my 50's, that seemed sooooo old to me....and then all the weird symptoms hit and I started to feel 90....arghhh, lol ...though I don't think I look it (whatever it is supposed to look like, women these days look terrific at all ages). Anyways I hope the birthday blues don't last too long and you celebrate your special day. xoxo Mich

Happy Birthday!!
I hit 51 this past August and sometimes I feel like 100! ohmy.gif
Gee, my peri symptoms started at 43, I was hoping when I hit 50 I'd be done with it! mad.gif

Hope you enjoyed your day and that you made it special just for you!! smile.gif

Awww...Happy Birthday, Ladybug. I'm 48, if that's any consolation, although inside I'm perpetually 25. I think you should spend the day doing whatever you please. Get some lotions, foot cream, etc. and have your own personal "spa" day. Buy yourself a special something. I always purchase a gift for myself on my b-day!

Thanks all. I realized I was just being silly allowing myself to feel that way. What a waste of time! So I turned it around and had a lovely day! Since both hubby and I worked (me am, him pm) we are going to "celebrate" on Sunday with the cake, dinner and all so we can be together. I forgot to tell you all that October 8th was also our 19th anniversary!!!

Happy birthday and smile...i felt down yesterday so i went outside and took some photos of fungus growing on a log...now if that dont make you laugh i dont know what will....a blubbering perimenopausal woman in her jammies snapping away at fungus....well it did make me feel better...life isnt all bad and i dont like the alternative smile.gif
believe me ive had a rough past 12 months with this stuff...all my family including parents, son, grandsons, brother, sister etc etc are back in australia...talk about being alone and depressed but there is always something to smile about.
talk a bubble bath...listen to some music...make a cake...but remember that your not alone .
hugs to you and have a wonderful day.

I found my decade birthdays easy to handle....but as I get older, I may change my mind. I will be 52 in 10 days (Oct 19) & am in the throes of peri. Our 40 & 50 birthdays tend to occur at the same time as peri...as well as problems with kids, parents, & ...oh my....then our bodies seem to be places of discord as well.

I am making myself spend one day a week in bed. I do not move excpt to eat & drink. Get yrself some downtime like that....even just an hour helps....and happy birthday. I am already planning my fave birthday cake & my present -- might as well get the most out of it!

Happy birthday....WV

I turned 50 in September, and it didn't bother me as much as the 'anticipation' of it. I started peri at around 40, and now, at 50, I've been post 2 years and it seems like the majority of those nasty peri symptoms are gone now. I still have migraines when a 'period should be due', which baffles me, but overall it really isn't bad anymore. They claim 50 is the new 30, and I'm going to SWEAR by that! Sadly enough we can't turn back the hands of time, so I just go with the flow. No other choice! I find that I enjoy doing things more that I dreaded doing when I was heading INTO menopause. I DO wish I could sleep through and entire night and I DO wish the hot flashes and migraines would diminish, but like one of you lovely ladies said in a previous post: BEATS the alternative!!!
Feel well wink.gif
