Hello Ladies,
I appreciate in advance all the support you give me. I am here with an update. For the last month and a half I've been experiencing stomach discomfort and nausea. At first, it was transitory and then it became much more pinpointed and constant. The area that is always in discomfort is below my rib on my right side. I saw my doctor/oncologist and he ordered a cat scan. I had that and thankfully, it looked fine. So, he ordered an endoscopy and colonoscopy.

It's been a TOTAL run around the last 2 weeks since I saw him .... long, long story short, the digestive place "dropped the ball" and didn't get back with me. After I vented to the office manager, she apologized profusely and "made things happen". So, I am scheduled for the endoscopy and colonoscopy day after tomorrow!!! Thank goodness. So, I will do the prep tomorrow.

With the level of constant and increasing discomfort I feel, I am anxious about the tests, yet -realizing they're needed. It's been 5 years this month since my last colonoscopy, so it was due anyway. We have a very stron history of colon cancer on both of my parents' sides and in fact, my mom was diagnosed in stage 3 just 2 years ago. Thankfully, she weathered chemo and is doing well now. In light of my "stomach history" (that many of you know), it adds another layer of "I need to breathe" with "all of this" as well.

So dear ladies, thanks for letting me share and I appreciate your ongoing support. I will update as I find out. Kathleent

I had my gallbladder removed in Dec 08.

Well then we know it's not that! My sis has all sorts of tummy issues and they are thinking she has celiacs disease.

Kathleen,

I have been wondering where you have been! I am sorry it read you are suffering from another health issue! I hope all goes well for you, and they find nothing serious, but maybe something to explain the symptoms! You so deserve a break! ((((HUGS))))

Thank you all so much. I will hold onto your support as I go into these next tests. I will only work 1/2 day tomorrow and then start "the prep". I know that's the worst part of the procedures. I am not looking forward to it but as I said, I know they need to be done. Since posting this morning my dr called and said there were some "little odd things" in my bloodwork and wants to do a culture on my UA as well. Geez! I will get through this and again, appreciate you all so much. My DH will take me to the tests and then stay home with me the rest of Thursday. I'm so incredibly grateful to have him with me every step of this "interesting" journey, that is now in its sixth year! I will be in touch, Kathleent

Thank you all, again. The procedure is tomorrow (Thurs) - sorry for the confusion. My prep starts today at noon.
I am working to "breathe into" all of this - esp with the blood work now "a bit odd" . I am at work this morning for a few hours and then head home to start the prep. Grateful to have you all and your kind, kind support. I will keep you posted. Kathleent
