For all those who are suffering badly at the hands of their hormones, I thought that you might want to read this.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-...w-form-PMS.htmlIt is yet more evidence that sensitivity to hormone changes can destroy a woman's well being. It also highlights the ignorance of medical practitioners in this area................

The problem I have found is that it is male GP's that don't understand
The first time I saw a GP with really bad perimenopause PMS he told me that it was totally normal!!
Having done research on the net I went back and put the symptoms in a list and laid it on the line before he would really listen - even then I am not quite sure he actually understood. He said that my body was simply misfiring ready for menopause.
I thought I was bipolar myself at one point!! The symptoms were that bad.
I had no idea that the starts of menopause would be like this and the doctor didn't explain it. What about those poor women who don't have access to the internet? They are just left in the dark.
Thank goodness for Power Surge!

Thanks for that article xiii
Very interesting reading, and also a sigh of relief that guidelines are NOW being sent to GP,s, to start acknowledging these issues.
Thanks for sharing

yes, thank you very much for posting this ! Hormones can wreck absolute HAVOC on us, and the medical "profession" doesn't want to give that any validity!!!! How lousy, you'd THINK they'd be a bit more KNOWLEDGEABLE about this by now! for pete sake....it's nearly 2010!!!

thanks for posting this. as someone who has struggled my entire reproductive life with severe physical & mood symptoms related to my menstrual cycle, it is heartening to see that this is finally being recognized & that treatment options are available. i've gone through my life thinking that this was somehow my fault for not being able to just deal with 'pms' & the other stuff. it wasn't until all peri-hell broke lose that i realized that this was so much a physical disorder & not a lack of will power, initiative, discipline, etc.
