Hi I was diagnosed as perimenopasal yesterday after months of tests and a 30 heart moniter. That showed I have sinus tachacardia sp? and PVCs. my gyno pur me on prempro and I started reachering it. WOW im kinda scared. It said about cholesterol too and my numbers back in march were total 209, HDL 49, LDL 110 and Tryglicerides 247. I take multi vitamin and at least 1 omega3 fish oil a day. Im worried about taking the prempro ive never been n anything before. I also have anxiety about meds. Does anyone have any advice? My doc just says try it for a month and we will go from there.

First of all do you still get periods? I was put on prempro a medium dose in 2007 i do still get periods. At first i thought maybe i felt better on it but after two weeks i started geting depression weird thoughts and even more symptoms. I realy don'tknow if it was the prempro but i did wean myself gradually over being on it for 6 months. Went on an AD during the time,And let me tell you i felt so much better no depression or bad thoughts. So i am thinking we might be getting too much estrogen or progesteorne from it if our bodies are still producing some. Don't really know if it was the prempro but i am glad i went off of it also due to cancer risk,Goodluck and hope you find the answers you need.

thanks for answering. Ya Im 36 and still have my periods. I used to be on ad before but weaned off them in dec because I was having panic attacks on them. I have had only 1 attack and it was very short since I stopped. I took the pill tonight. Hopefully everything will be ok. Im new to this

Please try not to worry too much.I know you are still very young and new to all this Menopausal Madness.The pill should regulate your periods and fluctuating Hormones so that in general you will hopefully feel better.
I was Post at 39 and this is almost twenty years ago.I took the HRT and it worked well.
Just keep in mind that everything in Life is a risk,including Meds.,but also we have to think of the quality of our lives
The Doctor is obviously monitoring you carefully.So be patient and keep us posted.
