I'm seriously considering trying it because so many women that are taking it swear by it. it seems like its almost that " miracle" cure we're all looking for according to what these women say about how they feel. ive heard that when these women started going thru peri they were given premarin and that was the end of their suffering. and almost everyone ive talked to about their success with the bio's say they are still stuggling with feeling lousy and cant ever seem to find the right dose that works... ever. anyone have any experience with this ?

My sister is on premarin and seems to feel much better. My mother used it after a surgical menopause and swore by it. Other then that I really can't help. However I'm on the bios and generally doing pretty well. My doctor told me to up my estradiol slightly if I felt below par.

Jacks, is your sister "post" or peri? does she still have all her parts? how old is she?

My sister got a bum deal she is going through menopause at 39. She has all of her parts and is still peri but was feeling wretched until prempro kicked in. But she says that the insomnia and headaches have gone and her periods are now regular - she had been getting two a month. I have been keeping an eye on her as she is ten years younger then me and I am in early peri and using Bios

I feel lousy on all the bios too, so as a last resort I tried Premarin cream for vaginal dryness.
At first I thought it was the magic bullet I was hoping for because I didn't get the enormous side effects I did from the bios. But after a few days I started to get REALLY depressed and even though I stopped using it the depression went on and on for about two weeks and ruined my holiday.I really could not function.
I tried it again 10 days ago (I am talking a dot of cream, not a whole dose) and I have spent the last 10 days feeling miserable again-just beginning to feel better today,so I cannot recommend it personally.
I visit the Hystersisters website quite a bit where they seem to discuss all the different hormones a lot and the opinion on Premarin is split.
Either it's the best thing since sliced bread or it causes crashing depression and dreadful headaches.
The only way is to try it I am afraid. I hope it works for you!

No I was only using it for vaginal dryness. I don't have my uterus anyway so I don't have to have progesterone. It's exactly the same thing though.- .625 cream or pill.
I am too sensitive to everything so I am not a very good example but there is lots of posts on that site about it that may help you.
Yes its hystersisters.com.
