I thought I read a while back in one of the posts that "p" sometimes makes palps worse, instead of better. I started on cyclical HRT a year ago (1MG estradiol daily, 10MG medyprogest (sp?) 15 days a month). I was 6 years post when I started, and hoped going on HRT would help my awful PVCs (benign, say the docs, but still awful).
Well, the PVCs haven't gotten any better, and sometimes seem MUCH worse. Today's an especially bad day. Does anyone with palps have any experience with how "p" affects them?
Thanks in advance,
Sunny

Hi,
P helps me with my palps, but too much E gives them to me.
Maybe you need to up your P??? I'm not familiar with the type of P you are taking, but 10 mgs. seems low to me.
Just a thought?

When I first started P and after a dosage change I did have more palps. That gradually eased up and I no longer really have them. It does sound like your dose of P is a bit low. I would question that. There is a chance you still have more E than P and the balance isn't right.

Sunny is on Provera and 10mg is not a low dose for this drug which is a synthetic progestin. Sunny, you might want to ask your doctor to switch you to prometrium (natural progesterone) and give that a try.

Thank you. Yes, I'm on the generic version of Provera. I take it because it's only $10 for a 90 day supply in Target. My insurance has a high co-pay on Prometrium, so that's not a good idea for me.

If you take any form of progesterone does it make your periods return? I don't want that but I would like an end to the palps.
