Hi everyone, been a while since I have posted. I was reading a post that expressed an achy all over feeling, like the flu. I have always experienced that just before my period, now it seems I feel it all the time. My breasts hurt as well, almost as if they are full, and they feel heavy sometimes. I am two weeks away yet from my scheduled time that I have my period. I am still having the "schedule - every twenty eight days" but my periods have shortened a great deal. Experiencing some bothersome "don't touch my skin, because it hurts." Does anyone else feel like noises around are amplified 500x more than normal, and find it irritating? My job is high stress, and I am sure that it contributes. I have had some extreme bloating and can hardly eat anything without feeling gassy.
I am very weepy lately too, that hasn't happened for a couple of months. Just let me know that I am okay. You all make me feel better.

Hi,

I have a lot of the same stuff going on...... the sensitivity to noises comes and goes during the month and also the achiness, exhaustion and prickly "don't touch me" feelings.

I was incredibly weepy and anxious, too, but since going on celexa (anti-depressant) that has improved considerably.

I hope you get some relief very soon!

All best,

Magnesium helped me with the loud noise thing,I felt like I was jumping ten feet up every time I heard a loud noise.Try 500-750 mg of magnesium every day and see if that helps.GOD-bless

Hi there, I have been feeling the achiness all over lately too. I also still get my period every 28 days but it is heavier lately. The achy and flu like symptoms have been bugging me, making me worry that it's something other than perimenopause. So I went to my doctor and she ran a series of test. Thank God, all my blood work came back normal. But some days, I am soooo fatigued and my arms, shoulders, knees, legs and feet all ache so bad. My doc thinks it's possible I have fibromyalgia so she's prescribed some meds. I hope that it helps me feel better soon. Hope you start feeling better too.

That "don't touch me I hurt" and "sounds being too loud" sounds like fibromyalgia....
