Hello My PS Sisters,

I started a new thread because this one is about a new path...

Early in May, I injured my back as many of you know.
So please forgive me if parts of this are a repeat.

One thing led to another and another, and a hand injury and an endless sea of Dr's who
did the wrong test, no test, found other stuff and had to treat that, lost papers,
and it left me unable to walk and in horrific pain. We moved, and it got worse.

There was an MRI in there somewhere - and some problems on it - with my Spine.
I also couldn't do surgery, nor meds via injection, because of a type of Hemophilia.

I'm skipping right to today.
This is from My FaceBook Page:

"Spent a long long time with someone today.
My New Dr., who is taking my back and bleeding issues SERIOUSLY,
Is Super Smart, Nice and a Warm human being, and is Busting a MOVE on Testing!! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I am thinking of this Dr. as my Snowplow - he is headed right to the disc stuff and spinal and bleeding things.
Amazing. I will have a 2 hour, strapped in, back MRI in a few weeks and that is just ONE thing he is doing!!
Long road, but I'm been ready for this for months.

My Sisters.. Who would have thought 6 years ago that would be saying sure, I'll pass on the meds/sedation.
I came here in 2003 looking for answers to panic attacks! Mine turn out to be medical related to a genetic thing, not hormones. but
I never would have know that, had I not started here. PS saved my hide....and Now I'm getting some more help keeping it on track/

He suggested I enjoy the MRI as percussion!! lol. A kind soul who pulled miracles out of his pocket today. smile.gif

Thank you to Every Single one of you
who has written, called, left me a message or stayed up late the night I found out about the
growth on my Spine, and your cheer, warmth and compassion.

OH, and Hope is a good tonic.
I'd go out and DANCE if I could.
But I have the Red Vintage Bicycle my husband bought me when
we moved here about a month ago to look at as motivation
that I will walk again, I WILL bike again, I WILL DANCE AGAIN!
If my Grandmother one side ( in her 90's....) when told she would never walk right after a broken hip, insisted that she could,
and my Aunt on the other side lived to be 106 and walked until she was 104,
I can do this.......

Hi Gals -

Just a quick update for my kind sisters who ask or just bop by here on the other place :-)

Still having challenges with the entire process, but instead of the usual 9 months, I think it's only 2 weeks
left till Hematology. IF they can find one of the two meds to work for me....so far no.
Why - well one is made from blood and is thicker than mine, and my vessels have been almost 50 years
with very watery blood. Risk is stroke or clots....or diseases, or rejection like organ transplant.
The other one is one that raises BP , but so far I had one infusion and it did not go well.
My Hematologist and New Dr are pals it turns out. So that is good. I know them both pretty well,
these are my two best so far unless they change on me again. And the PT assistant rocks the house too.
Loads of cool tricks so I can owrk my behind off without damaging stuff - (ouch).

Then in 3 weeks, off to a 2 hour MRI, then a Nerve Conduction Study (many needles in my leg muscles, and eletricity current run through
thru the damaged legs) and they I can see if it's 2 discs herniated, and where is the tumor, or exactly where we go from here.
It is one day at a time. Loads of bumps, hurdles and pain they can't treat. Yes, I'm in severe pain but getting thru many days and night on prayers.
But despite being injured in PT and passing out 3 times), I am sticking with it and not missing any appts for anything.
DH came this last time. There was an assitant who did not make me hang from the bicycle and treadmill handles with my legs dangling.
She was awesome! but not the one working with me. Working on possibilities - but any changes throw me out of the system,
so right now I just pray. Dr's says NO twisting on those herniated discs, but until the new MRI, they can't prove I should not
and are forcing me to to do strenuous stuff. I do as I'm told. I'm glad my husband was a Medic and knows PT for injured soldiers.
I can't see my New Awesome regular Dr until after the 2 hour MRI and NeuroSurgeon and Radiologist. Mid-late October if all goes well.
YES I am going to get thru the 2 hour MRI even thogh they say no one can.
I AM DETERMINED. PT - I do not care HOW much it hurts, I just do not want to further injure my back or hands.
And want to lose 20 lbs by Jan.

Praying for all of you......Me, I am still here, so there must be a reason.

HUGZ
and thank you for all the love and support Sweet Ladies!
