Terry,

I used to get a variety of cold/hot flash combo's. Most common were the cold flahes but the bottoms of my feet would sweat. (I'd literally be "slithering" around in my own shoes from the wetness.) Oh, yes another peri moment...... Regards, JZZ

I sweat from head to toe many times during the day. Not quite sure about what you're going through. Hope it stops soon.

Gosh, Terry!! Come up with a new symptom for us why don'tcha!! hehehehe!!!!

I think ANYTHING is possible during this time!

Might even wake up one morning and be turned into a MAN for all we know!!!

eeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkk!!!

Might not be so bad though!

Wouldn't be labled a bitch for having an extramarital affair or libido off the charts or growling and howling at every itty bitty thing!

Just make sure you don't float away in the middle of the night! Hubby might not be too happy!!

Love you, girlfriend!!

Although I don't have those, Terry, I rather think I would prefer them to my hot flashes. I always get hit smack in the FACE!! Nothing worse than putting on your makeup in the morning and watching it sweat off before you are even finished! Not to mention that EVERYONE KNOWS you are flashing!! LOL!! That shiny sweaty face is REAL attractive. At least with a sweaty "waist down" you could hide it.

Terry,

Yup I have had from the waist down night sweats for a couple of years. Only lately have they been going "full body". Now the sheets get soaked top and bottom! But I still occasionally get the legs only kind...

Terry, I don't get that "heat" from the waist down ONLY....oh no...... i get this overall body HEAT! It can last anywhere from maybe an hour or so.....or throughout the entire day! It's not really a "sweat" per se .......... it's more like this HEAT inside me, all over. You think you have a fever,,,,,you take your temp., but NO FEVER. This is a rather sickening feeling as well ....... does anyone here get this? do you guys ever get sort of a "sick" feeling with those flashes? dry.gif

Dear 'mydarling'
Although I do not get hot flashes anymore as I am on HRT, I can still remember them.
They would mainly come during the night and I would be soaked. The lighter ones that I had during the day were often accompanied by a high feeling of anxiety and nausea.
I live in a hot country and frankly cannot bear the heat as much as I did when I was young. In winter I have much more energy.
Have you tried Primrose Oil as I believe this is suppose to help with the "Flashing and Flushing"!It sounds like many of us could stop the traffic but not get it rolling off again.
Hope you get some relief soon.
Best Wishes
Elizabeth

I also stay hot for hours at a time accompanied by clamminess. It's really gross.

Mine start in the back of my neck and move down around my shoulders like a havy blanket and last 5 to 10 minutes sometimes followed by the chills. These continue for 2 years post menopause. I want to know if that is normal? Does anyone know if continuing to have hot flashes post meno is normal?

I'm 19 months post AND on BHRT and I'm now getting very early morning sweats. They've been waking me up around 4:30 or 5 AM. It's much worse now than it was when I was newly post.
I'm pretty sure I need to up my E to help get rid of them.

forgot to mention that these night sweats are total body sweats so my legs are even soaked...

Interesting what you said about the sweats waking you up. I get a hot flash as soon as I wake up and that includes middle of the night. I will find myself at a normal or cool temp but as soon as I feel myself begin to wake up I immediately get a hot flash. This has been going on for over a year. This is in addition to the usual hot flashes. Must have something to do with a sudden hormone drop or surge upon waking. Either way, it is getting very old....haha

Dear 'Happ1'
I have read and heard about women continuing to have hot sweats way past Post.
My former Yoga Teacher, who is well into her seventies, said that she still gets them.
Probably they are less intense and do not happen as frequently but I think many ladies will tell you they do suffer from them Post.
So it is all very normal but probably very annoying.
