Hi,
I have decided to start taking evening primrose oil to alleviate breast pain, but I am really confused about how much to take (I don't want to get toxic levels). I've been trying to read about it but it's confusing, because I also take a TB of flax seed oil a day (just for health benefits) and I don't want to combine the two and then create a bigger problems.
Does anyone know if these are okay taken together and what is the best dosage?
Thanks!

I take one 1000mg evening primrose oil gel capsule in the morning and one at night. I think it's wise not to overdo the EFA's as they can lower your blood sugar and blood pressure. I find if I add in fish oil or flax oil I get dizzy and light headed and it was discovered that it was lowering my blood pressure too much. So if you are predisposed to either of those conditions this is something to watch out for. It happens every time I try to take fish oil or flax oil. Also (as an aside) olive leaf extract can have the same effect. Another side effect to watch out for is headaches, particularly if the EPO has Vit E added.
You can also get the essential fatty acids 3, 6 & 9 in a capsule together, but at a lower dose, so that may be another option to try.
Start low, listen to your body and you can build from there if necessary.
