Good morning ladies, I need a little help. I don't know if I am experiencing hot flash or something else. I do get this warm feeling throughout my body, with what I think is the internal shaking. It always happens together.

The odd thing is it seems to mostly happen upon awakening or as you are falling asleep. But the awakening sensation seems to be the usual.

Does anyone else have this scenario upon the sleep pattern.

Thanks for any replies, I am just trying to figure this all out.

I used to get a hot flash every night when I would lie down in bed and one when I was driving my kids to school in the morning-now I get them in the middle of the day.I hate them, but what you are describing sounds very much like my flashes, definately hormonal.Hope you feel better soon.GOD-bless

Sounds like hot flashes to me, too. I've been having them for about 9 years now and finally found relief in a product called GEM. It's an orangy tasting drink that works magic for me. You might want to check out their website at drinkgem.com and see what you think. Marie Osmond endorses it on a TV infomercial that I flipped to one day and I thank my lucky stars that I found it. Nothing else had worked for me and I thought I was going to lose my mind because my hot flashes were off and on all day and all night. Couldn't remember when I had last slept all through the night. I've been drinking 8 oz. once a day for about 2 weeks now and I feel like a new person.

I agree that these sound like mild hot flashes.
I am glad that a product called Gem appears to be giving you some relief but I would just urge you to be a little cautious about such products.
I note that on the web site you have to dig a little to find the constituents of this innocent looking miracle orangey drink and it is apparently endorsed by an experienced medical practitioner. As we all know humans can be paid to say anything if they stand to benefit.
It looks as if the main constituent is a herb called Black Cohosh. Studies have shown that in some women this can be very toxic to the liver.

I am not telling anyone not to take supplements like this, if they feel that it improves their life. I am just warning them to be careful about what they put into their body and not to be naive.

Take Care,

You're right XIII, we do need to be careful about what we ingest. And I didn't know that Black Cohosh could be toxic to the liver. I was just so desparate that I ordered it as fast as I could. I get mild "warm-ups" now and then but nothing like the feeling that I used to get where I felt like I was turning into a power generator that could supply power for all of Texas!
Thanks for the words of warning.

Dear Time Bomb
These flashes do tend to explode at the wrong time and are very annoying. Some ladies experience fairly light ones while others end up soaked
I have heard that Evening Primrose Oil may be helpful .Maybe you could have a look around your local Health Store.
Am going to be completely honest and tell you that mine only left when I went on HRT-not that I am advocating this for you or anyone else.It is just my personal experience
Try cutting down on the caffeine and sugary products. Also alcohol kept to a minimum.Keep your bedroom cool and have a little rotating fan on hand plus Avian water to spray on your face.
Hope you find some relief.

All the best
