Hi friends,
I need a little advice. How can I tell that a natural progesterone cream suggested to me is reliable and contains the right amount of progesterone? What is the right amount/level of progesterone that I should look for, does anyone know?

I live in a rural town ín Victoria (a state in Australia) and in the absence of a natural therapist, I have to rely on a natural drug store for advice. I'm assured of the quality of the product which contains wild yam and a few other natural ingredients but I'm not sure. Any advice on what I should look for?

Gabby,
Look for one that states Micronised Bioidentical Natural Progesterone USP in the ingredients list and the carrier media, either natural oil or petrolium product, it should not list wild yam or anything like this.
If the label says, contains wild yam, it is just a good moisturizer.
I know in Australia P-cream is by Rx only, so I bet the health food store P-cream it is not a good option.
If you have a regular doctor in your area, ask for Rx P-cream from compound pharmacy.
The amount of P per jar varies, it can be 100g in 2 oz jar, but the amount per dose is usually 20 mg, or whatever your doctor Rx. The cream comes in jar with measuring spoon, or in pre-dosed pump.
HTH,
I.
