For the last 3 or 4 weeks I have had trouble when I go up stairs or mow the lawn or do anything with effort, getting winded. I can breathe but it is like I have to make an effort to and now it happens someimes when I am just setting or doing nothing. I am about 20 lbs overweight and I am 57 but I don't think this is normal. Someone told me it could be allergies but I don't think so and I have thought about anxiety but sometimes I am not stressed and it happens and almost one year ago I had a heart cath and it was good , so I am at a loss. Please help if you have any ideas. Thanks

I know that anemia can do this to ya. I had it bad for about a year before I was diagnosed.

It could be a number of things. Perhaps you should see a physician and get some further testing. I'm not exactly sure what a heart cath. is but you could also get a pulmonary function tests, allergy tests, etc. I get this on and off but even when I'm just sitting around and had everything tested. Not sure what it is either but it's frightening. I had it really bad last year at this time and had lung tests and heart checked out, etc. Better to get everything looked at before dismissing it as hormones.
Hope you feel better soon.
Hugs,
Karen
Thanks all,
I just had a physical and thyroid, blood work are all good and like a said less than a year ago they did a heart catherization and it was fine. Like you said maybe allergies, stress or med's.
Good health to all.
