Hi to all, hope all is well with everyone this morning,

just wondering for those who know when they ovulate...towards the end of peri do you find that you ovulate more than 1x(like a few x's) in a month? I wish I could go in with some kind of information scope type thingy and find out what in the world is going on inside of me so I know what to fix and what to take to feel better, but i just can't figure it out.

I feel as though I am literally ovulating almost constantly now....I get a few days off and it starts again with side pain and cervical mucous and the wacked symptoms that go with it, which are almost if not worse than pms whenever that is anymore.....everything is just so messed up and running together, I don't know when to expect my period anymore either as I will spot one day, nothing for a few, then a period, then nothing for a few days then maybe a light period, then spotting again...on and on and on, it just makes no sense.

Does higher FSH trigger almost a constant ovulation this way, because mine is pretty high....I guess I am getting a little concerned....I don't have the funds to go and get another ultrasound right now as it would be an out of pocket thing....has anyone felt this, it almost feels like the grand fanale at a fire works show....like whats left of my egg supply are just shooting off all at once and I just feel awful constantly, any thoughts? HUGS Mikki

I get the feeling something happens around day 7-10 and again around 14-15.... but something keeps on manifesting itself the days inbetween that, if that makes sense. That is my worst week of the month.

I don't know if we tend to ovulate more. I think it feels like we do because of the variable hormone "fluxes". Nothing is consistent anymore. But if you do successfully ovulate then you can be assured of having a period. (you need a high enough midcycle surge of progesterone to cause a period later on). The "periods" we have at this time in life tend to be more anovulatory ones (ie - no ovulation/and or eggs). But, we still have a lining that will be shed until we're far enough in full meno for the uterine lining to atrophy (and no more bleeding). If you want a sort of "gurantee" in knowing that you have ovulated and can count on an upcoming full on period - then buy an ovulation kit. When you think you've ovulated pee on one stick and you'll know what's happening. Just some thoughts and ideas. Hope it makes sense. Regards, JZZ You probably feel awful due to varying hormone levels or to your body trying to adjust to a new lower level of hormones as you move towards meno.

Hi Mikki,
I don't have any answers for you but wanted to post to let you know you are not alone. Back in Jan/Feb. I was told my hormone levels were all "post menopausal" and promptly skipped 3 1/2 mos. of periods and had no symptoms of ovulation. Then the other shoe dropped (as it will repeatedly during peri!) and I KNOW I ovulated the past three months with a period to follow. I've always been able to feel it when I ovulated so it's not my imagination and I felt it twice this past month. My periods have become irregular now...one on the 15th, the next on the 10th, the next on the 21st...you get the idea. The scary thing for me is that I'm soon 55 years old and have been told there is "no way" I'm ovulating so therefore can't get pregnant. Not that I'm worried about that but say that just to let you know that until you've gone the obligatory "one year" without periods, you will have these wierd shifts in hormones and probably will ovulated at least occasionally until things are so low you simply can't! This is VERY strange time of life to say the least. Puberty was a walk in the park in comparison!
Hugs to you and hope things calm down for you soon!
