Hi to all:
Anyone who is post meno experience spotting while on bhrt? After being on bhrt since April without incidence, today I am spotting. Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know what it means?

If I were you, I would stop taking progesterone for a week, and see if you have a withdrawal bleed. If you do it could mean your progesterone is not completely preventing a uterine lining from developing. I was advised to go off of progesterone for a week every 3 or 6 months while I was doing continuous therapy, to shed any possible lining build up.

Dee,

I noticed that happening to me also when I used progesterone, it was a faint "pink" color spotting?? I'm not sure why this happens, so ask your doctor, but it happened to me also.

I have had the same thing happen after using the Progesterone for 5 months. Just a little spotting though.
I'm going to carry on!

Hi there,

Same thing happened to me after about 3 or 4 months on HT. I called the pharmacist about it and was told that it more than likely was my body adjusting to the hormones in my system (hadn't had a period in months at that point) and to continue with them. I am on continuous also.
I never happened again and I'm now fully a few months post.

If you are concerned maybe a call to the docs office would help with your question?
