yes, sisters, i am right at this moment in tears, my 1 year old refrigerator took a crap starting last sat....sunday morning, everything in my fridge was warm.......and for the first time since christmas, i stocked up on food, really, because of certain reasons.......i can't keep going to the store daily, we were gonna have a big cook out on sunday, WE ARE NOT RICH, it was just a thing to get me out of the depression i am going thru with losing my father last month.........like, jolt me out of this funk kinda cookout....
sunday, i called sears, and they told me they will have a repairman come today......4 days later????
the food spoilage thingy on the warranty, they said i should take pictures of the spoiled food.
should i go out into the garbage that has been there since sunday and my camera is not a good one, the ink in my printer is running out also!
i made an itemized list of the food gone bad..........and the nerve of them and this $200 warranty.............do you have receipts for the lost food????DUH!
i bought and froze the food, some last month.......ohhhhhhh, c'mon
do any of you hold onto to food receipts? blink.gif
i'm just in tears at this point and frustrated from waiting since 12 noon and 5 hours later, the guy calls and said, after this job, i'll be over!
also imagine, which i'm sure ya all went thru, is not having a fridge for 4 days!
just venting

Oh dear, sounds like you've had a rough couple of days. I can't believe it's taken Sears four days to repair your fridge. I would make a list of the food spoiled and have them reimburse you for it. I hope your day tomorrow is better!!

God Bless

Oh I am so sorry you are going through all this. I am praying for you that things will get better for you. I hate to hear you lost all your food.

Sorry to hear about your refrigerator troubles. I've gone through that myself and it's not any fun. I can certainly see why you are in tears and all stressed out. I'm hoping that the Sears repairman is there by now and you can calm down. smile.gif

its already broken and its only a year old ? hope you dont have a lemon ,or you will be repairing that thing yearly, a new fridge should give you no problems at least for 5 yrs or so !!!! they are a- holes, i hope every thing turns out for you, take care.....

That sux that your fridge tore up......have you noticed they always work fine when you're running low on everything and need to get to the store but haven't had the time and all that's in there is a box of baking soda, cheese and maybe 1/4 gallon of juice?
Mine tore up the day before Thanksgiving last year....had my turkey and all the holiday food in there.....could not go without one,so i called and had one delivered from the local rent-a-center to get me through the holiday and then i bought another one.I don't like to rent to own,but it got us by in a pintch...was well worth the $20 rental fee....

thanks for all of your sincere replies, yeah, it's the day to day grind i guess.
the repairman was almost 1 hour late and i found out my KENMORE parts are mostly made in CHINA.......it was the fan that stopped, and we looked at the broken part surely printed on it, made in china! Geez, the older fridges went on for years and years and even more years!
To add insult to injury, lol....i read that the next move the goverment is gonna make is cash for refrigerators! huh.gif no kidding!
Last year our water pipes all froze, and for days! That was no fun at all. some genious long ago ran the pipes on the outside walls of the house..that is a real problem.
I hate this big, ol house dry.gif
