Ladies do any of u know if what I'm describing is a hot flash.....I never sweat only between the breasts, at night my back and torso gets so hot! When I roll over I can just feel the hot bed underneath! I'm 47 had a partial histo when i was 36 and an ovary removed a yr ago that had scar tissue on it,ever since that ovary was removed I get warm after drinking anything hot,and have muscle aches everywhere! Is this a variant of a hot flash? Anxiety is also w/ me everyday!! Could I now be in full meno because of the ovary and histo yrs ago? My Dr. says I have low estrogen been trying a natural estradiol and progesterone for a couple of months not working!!

It does sound as if you are having "internal thermostat" problems. Since many of us experience hot flashes differently, I wouldn't doubt that this is your version, especially since you're 47. I am assuming you still have one ovary (?)

I have also had a hysto and have one ovary (age 51), and have been having peri/meno symptoms for three years. I find that it's very hard to tell what's going on meno-wise without a uterus and periods. I do watch for breast tenderness and noticeable hormone swings, but still haven't figured it out (probably because if I had periods, I would be very irregular at this point). I am assuming I'm in later peri. Yes, the anxiety (and heart palps) have been nearly ubearable for the past year. I am not taking any HRT presently (just a beta blocker for heart palps and anxiety), but wonder if HRT would help, so please keep me posted on how things go for you. I'm not ready to be old, and I feel like I've aged 30 years in three!

Feel the same way too, Yes I have one ovary too,your so right about not knowing because we don't have a uterus! My breasts never get tender anymore so that probably would mean I'm not ovulating any more don't u think?
