Full Version: Change in odor?
Has anyone else had a change in their odor----down there??I am blushing while asking but I have a definate change in odor.I wonder if this is part of peri?I am not burning,itching,or anything just a change in scent.Thanks and GOD-bless
Yes I noticed this some months back and like you I have no itch , burn or anything.I asked my gyno and all my lab results came back negative for std's and BV.I have no clue either it's weird, imbarrassing and a little scary.

i think its more that are senses are heightned at this time and smells are just more prevalent or noticed...
OH YEAH! lol!!!!! i'd love to believe it's just our sense of smell....and i told myself that too, UNTIL , one day in the car, with his face turned toward ME....my SON asked me what that awful smell was!!!!! Yeah, so, at that moment, I wanted to crawl under a rock,...I had to pretend i didn't smell it! Geez...........and i had already had two showers that day, and was loaded with deodorant and perfume .... quite embarassing to say the least!

Can I ask what kind of change? Would you say the odour is sharp and ammonia like, fishy or sort of musty?
I think that a change is very normal but really foul smelling or offensive smells usually mean infection.
I think that you have to watch out for atrophic vaginitis would will cause a definite change. I think that minor changes are to be expected because of the lowered oestrogen. I had a strange dark discharge for six months after my periods finished but there was never any itching or nasty odours.

Nothing foul,just different from my normal.I really can't describe it except maybe to say it is like I need to clean down there even though I already did!Thanks and GOD-bless to all of you who answered.

I noticed it about a year ago..definite change...I too had it checked out and my doctor said the tests were fine. I find it worse DURING my period. But it is a change for sure.

Yea, kids are great aren't they? Like we didn't already know we were having issues. I've noticed a change during my period. And every once in awhile I have breakthrough B.O.--just what I need! So now I have stashes of deodorant everywhere.
